Read Exodus 20

Think About It:

1. Which commandment is the first with a promise attached?
2. What is the intended response to a proper fear of God?
3. Do you think you would be among the people, standing afar off, instead of drawing close to God on the mountain? How are you doing with that today? Do you blend in with the people or do you stand out?

Family Time:

1. The first three commandments tell us how God expects us to honor Him. Explain how you can honor God this way.
2. Describe what we, as a family/couple/child can do to honor the Sabbath and keep it holy, set apart for God.
3. What are some ways you can honor your parents/caregivers? (This includes parents and their parents.)
4. Tell how “love” is the driving force for all the commandments.
